Literature Text
We live in a world that is full of great pain.
Where everyone one has a heavy burden to carry.
We think that nobody could possibly understand what we have gone through.
But in a world that is abundant in such matters,
there is somebody, somewhere who knows of your grievances;
who shares your pain;
who is in the same boat.
So know; You're not alone.
Like a child behind a locked door,
we keep our burdens a secret.
We do what we shouldn't.
We say what we wouldn't.
Instead of seeking help among ones we love,
we pray they never find out.
We isolate ourselves;
we think we're alone...
Weather it was something we have said or done,
something we are ashamed of,
or something in our past.
It eats at our hearts.
We are afraid to open up.
We forget that we aren't the only ones in the world,
because others laugh and smile.
But I assure you, they have their own problems too.
So don't think you're alone.
Stop looking back if your past is ugly.
Stop looking to your side and comparing your life.
Stop looking down and belittling yourself.
Instead look up,
because sometimes the skies look pretty
and you might like what you see.

She Believed
I stumble through my mind,
Weakened by the pain of years.
I always search but cannot find
The source of all my bitter tears.
I see a light, an anchor, a hope;
I limp faster, relieved by the sight.
I found a gentle, downward slope
Like a rescue from a blight.
I lean on you, no longer afraid;
Finally I have found relief.
Tears dry, memories fade,
Like wind carries a wilted leaf.
But in the end, it wasn't true
You held my heart yet let it die.
My anchor became my noose;
My trust was blinded to your lie.
How could I be so ignorant?
You pledged to never leave my side.
There's none to blame but myself

Wish for Privacy
I live behind a locked door,
And no one has the key.
It has been years, maybe more
Since someone talked to me.
The solitude was nice at first,
The quiet let me think.
But soon it took a turn for worse
Now all I do is blink.
So be careful, my dear friends,
When you wish for privacy.
Count to 5 when patience bends
Or you'll end up just like me.

Dear Poetry,
I am trying to cover my sadness with words.
Tape them against my scars
& wear them like worthy paper cuts.
My tears are alcohol swabs, burning & cleansing
wounds of my own making. Sometimes,
I wish I could hide behind them forever.
But not even this journeyed flesh can stand
castle strong against speechless ink stains.
I know the code. This body does not deserve
a warriors death. & poetry, you're a monster
a creative monster, but evil nonetheless.
I wish to string you into knots, force feed you
down the throats of others. De-format you
& leave you empty; freeversed-
to hang loosely along the heartstrings
of strangers
